The first time I picked up a camera something about my world started to change. The buildings were no longer neatly arranged brown boxes, but instead concrete and steel mountains that danced in the sun.
The same happens with writing; once the attention you pay to your thoughts and ideas increases, monumental internal shifts begin. You begin making connections and jumps across ideas and soon start generating your own.
It’s all too common to confuse consuming with preparing, believing that it will make us better for our journeys, but only the journey prepares you for the journey. It is only when we move that we generate momentum, creating a dent in space that pulls all energy on the periphery towards us — tapping into an almost cosmic alignment that serves to push us further into our pursuits.
So going into this week, give yourself the gift of perspective by embracing movement.
See you next week. Be you, be great!
